Measuring principle: According to different materials and its properties, the sensor probe can reach a measuring depth of about 15mm to 100mm. The total moisture of the product, which is the core moisture and surface moisture of the material, will be measured and analyzed. It is superior to the optical principle and only measures the surface moisture of the material. Sometimes the surface moisture is not the true value. The sensor has high penetration, so the dirt accumulated on the surface of the material does not affect the measurement. The change of the dielectric constant or relative dielectric constant of each material is an important measurement principle (RF electromagnetic wave). In order to better understand the working principle, the following is a very simple explanation: the relative permittivity of water is about εr = 80, and most other materials are about εr = 1-10. For example, the gravel εr value is between 3-4. This means that there is a large measurable difference between the relative dielectric constant εr of water (80) and the material being measured (1-10). According to this difference, the moisture value of the relevant materials can be directly measured. Then output the standard signal 0-20mA with a mass percentage of the material moisture content as a value. In other words: the more water or moisture is contained in the material, the closer the relative dielectric constant εr is to 80. On-line real-time measurement, the measurement signal can be obtained when the material passes the sensor, even if it is flowing fast On the production line, the measurement of static solid materials is also possible.

For most applications, the product needs to be in direct contact with the sensor surface. In some applications, this may not be possible / inappropriate. Here, you can use a neutral isolation layer made of Plexiglas, glass or similar materials, placed between the sensor and the product. Can not use metal isolation layer, the maximum thickness of the isolation layer material is 30mm.
